Madhri
Illustrator & Graphic Designer
Madhri is a visual communicator, specializing in illustration. She obtained her degree in graphic design from the University of Northumbria, in 2012 with a second class upper division pass. She began her career in advertising as a design consultant and became an Art Director for Digital, which included working with corporate clients, small and medium enterprise, donor agencies and not-for-profit advocacy groups. Madhri explores her passion for illustration by drawing inspiration from both Eastern and Western mythology and Sri Lankan art and craft, creating visual communication that is original but relevant and readable to a contemporary audience. Her work as an illustrator has led her to research into indigenous art forms especially in motif and design.  Madhri’s work is eclectic and her wide portfolio includes clients such as Amnesty International, PositiveNegatives, CommonWealth Foundation Creatives (UK) and corporate clients from Australia.
