Challenge: Create an identity for the Aruna Estate in NSW, Australia which provides an experience of living in an Australian sheep farm that respects and conserves its natural resources and ecosystem. The client's brief was to draw inspiration from the simple, visual way of mapping but also show sizes and shapes of locations of features, and distances between places so that the visual presentation gives information to the guests about the facilities and natural features of the location.
Execution: I combined the mapping style of topographic and thematic mapping in a black and white pencil sketching style to show the shape of the land - hills, lakes, and forests, so that would be guests can visualize the layout of the farm and its natural resources. I used proportional symbols to mark the accommodation and other features of the estate that are available to the guests to complete their insights into the type of outdoor experience offered by the farm.
